Christmas jumpers have become one of the traditions of the festive period with even the people dead-set against dressing up donning the knitted apparel and showing that they’re not such a Scrooge after all. They promote a great sense of fun (if not such a great sense of style), and many offices encourage their staff to wear their favourite novelty jumpers to work in an attempt to boost spirits around the festive period.
Whether it features a snowman, penguin, Christmas tree or Santa himself on the front doesn’t matter; there are all kinds of Christmas jumpers on the market all varying in colour, size and price giving you plenty of choices, but in recent years there has been a surge in sales as they’ve almost come back into fashion.
As we approach Christmas, knitwear becomes popular again as people decide to wrap up and designers have been trying to capture their audience with some truly unique designs. It’s safe to say that the Morphsuits Christmas jumper has done that, with their take on the traditional Christmas sweater incorporating, believe it or not, smartphone technology to form the focal point of the design.
If you have a smartphone, you can download a free app that when opened will play a scene resembling a crackling fireplace. When you insert this into the slot on the inside of the sweater, it creates the scene and you can walk around with a moving, realistic fireplace on your chest – it can’t get warmer or more Christmassy than that!
